Language Trip to Seaford

From April 7th – April 14th, this year’s language trip of our 7th forms took us to Seaford, Sussex.

The students spent an enjoyable week in this nice little seafront town, attending classes in the morning and doing excursions in the afternoon. We visited Brighton, went to see the chalk cliffs at Beachy Head, spent some time in Eastbourne and in a lovely town called Lewes. There some students treated themselves to cream tea or bought books, others were just strolling around the village and all of them got lost with the teachers at least once :).

We also went up to London twice. We did a guided tour at the Globe and were lucky to even get a glimpse at a rehearsal for an upcoming ‘Hamlet’ production. Then we walked across Tower Bridge and up to St. Paul’s where some climbed the 253 steps up to the Whispering Gallery. We also saw or passed some other London sights such as the London Eye, The Mall, the Horse Guards, Covent Garden, Green Park, the ‘Onion’ or Piccadilly Circus.

All in all, it was a splendid stay with nice hosts and … very English weather indeed!
